a word used to describe a ๐
๐๐๐ situation rumored to be created by silly teenagers who still play Among and are most likely in the closet. This phrase is now used by anyone; especially the old folks who are trying to stay relevant even though it is their time to finally kick the bucket and leave us alone, and children (under 13) whose parents obviously aren't monitoring what nonsense their children consume from the internet.

A word that first became somewhat popular on the internet back in the late-2010s. I absolutely hated it when people said it back then, which was mostly used in relationship or private messaging contexts (e.g. girl texts her friend "this guy is sus"). But ever since among us became popular in 2020, the term took on a whole new identity. It still bore the same meaning, but now you can NEVER say this word without thinking about among us (and without causing others to think about it as well). It's literally infectious. Thank god.
In a discord server:
Girl User: @mod, @me is being sus in my DMs.
Me: SUS? AMOGUS???
Girl User: Can we kick him out please?
Me: BUT I AM NOT THE IMPOSTER ๐ณ
Other User A: AMOGUS SUS
Other User B: AMOGUS FORTNITE SUSSY BALLS

One should always be ultra-polite when asking for any favor, of course, but you should act especially humble and unassuming if your request involves anything other than "run-of-the-mill" stuff. Most people will usually understand that life is not always easy or convenient, and so if you ask su-u-u-u-uper-nicely (and of course, try to only request help/favors when you really need it), it is amazing what people may do/allow for you.
