Sunday Syndrome

When you dont go to church Sunday and sleep till noon. Then Sunday night you can't fall asleep till 2-3:30 and arrive to school on Monday morning tired and looking like crap.

Boy 1: Woah, you look...tired
Girl 1: I know thats the nice way of saying you look like crap!
Boy 1: What happened?
Girl 1: I have Sunday Syndrome..
Boy 1: What??
Girl 1: I stayed up all of Saturday night at a party, so Sunday I didn't go with my family to church and slept till noon. I fell asleep at 3:00AM this morning and woke up at 5:30AM!
Boy 1: Ouch

Sunday Scaries

the anxiety ridden tidal wave of racing thoughts you get after a raging bout of binge drinking...replete with thoughts of "I'm an idiot", "I will never drink again", "grandiose thoughts of professional development", and time spent on careerbuilder.com changing your life...only to have thoughts subside and you repeat the process again

during my weekly bout with the sunday scaries I emailed the admissions office for grad school, applied for that management position, and made plans to save money...its a new me!!!

sunday funday

By celebrating the "Sunday Funday" you can extend your weekend festivities just a little longer before hanging up your party pants. This day typically starts out with mimosas or bloody marys aka hair of the dog. It then typically continues through out the day until you find yourself wasted by about 6:30ish. Since the "Funday" ends early enough, you can rest assured that you will go to bed aka pass out early enough to be perfectly refreshed for work on monday morning.

BRIGHT AND EARLY SUNDAY MORNING: "Dude!!! I am not ready to hang up my party pants!!! I say we have a Sunday Funday to top off the weekend!!!"

bloody sunday

On 30th January 1972, a vast amount of Roman Catholics in Derry, Northern Ireland, demonstrated a Civil Rights march due to the fact the Catholics were being denied their human rights in most parts of Northern Ireland. The marchers were soon confronted by a blockade of heavily-armed British soldiers who refused to let them continue marching.Lets be realistic here, if you were firstly being denied your Civil Rights, and then prevented from continuing a peaceful march for your rights, you would be more than incensced. So the marchers began throwing sticks and bricks at the soldiers, who were armed with very lethal firearms. Why couldn't they just let them keep on marching? isn't it a bit fascist to deny someone the right to march in favour of their own rights? So then the troops, who knew full-well the effect of their weaponry, opened fire on the marchers, hitting 27 people and killing 13. The troops had lethal weaponry and protective gear on. And they murdered civilians with melee weapons, who were only trying to convince people that they were human beings with rights too.

Don't give me that 'paras are heros' crap. I am half-Irish and some of my family members died in that incident. The military are trained to handle situations professionally, and none of them were injured or killed on that day. Just goes to show that you can't start off something reasonable without some gung-ho arsehole angering you and breaching your rights.
