A Roman law issued in 69AD regulating inheritance of property after a woman’s death. The law allowed women to leave property in their wills to close friends and roommates. Famous Roman women who used the law were friends Finguria Clitori and Ruggila Mucherius who lived together for 40 years while seving as priestesses of Artemis.
