An annoying person who pretends to be someone they are not.Some try to act lke they are goth or prep or scene etc.Some are friends that try to act like you usually because they think you are cool.These types of posers usually have low self esteem or daddy issues.The second kind of posers are the most annoying as they will try to do everything you do or buy whatever you buy.

Someone that claims to have gotten street smart from growing up on the back streets of somewhere like Orange County or Montana or claims to be a student of human behavior to sound more alert, studious and socially conscious than they actually are, since they're always asking people around them what the fuck is going on. All this is really a defense mechanism to hide the dork beneath the surface. Another one of their favorite defense mechanisms is to imitate someone that other people might describe as unbearable, thinking that by imitating somebody like that, they become somebody like that in actuality.
The poser was none of what he/she claimed to be, but knew that if he/she started being himself/herself, nobody would want to be around him/her, and nobody would want him/her around (except possibly other like minded posers).

Get the posermug. a person who acts fake just to fit in. now dont get me wrong, some people will be hipocritical and asume that your a poser even though some people arent. NOTE: just because u wear black does not automaticly make u a goth poser!!!!! so stop being the person who goes around judging people just because of there personality >_>. the word poser gets misused now a days. if someone comes in and wears a mcr band shirt and never herd of the band. thats a poser! but if a real person comes in with an mcr shirt and gets callled a poser than people are just being hipcritcal bitches.
