Century Fail

Derived from online videos charting the 'Fails of the Century', Century Fail is used when a fail is just too spectacular for one year to contain it.

Today I went for ice cream with a friend of the opposite sex. My girlfriend was texting me, asking me where I was. To pacify her, I told her I was desperately trying to get away from some girl who won't stop talking - But I accidentally sent the text to said girl, as she sat next to me. She started to cry into her ice cream. Century Fail.

20th Century Glazer

A loud (enough) minority that worships anything (usually music or creative media) dated as 19XX, or regarding the 20th century. Most of the glazers are 90s-2000s kids, although a good amount are just nostalgic old people. Quotes to spot them: "todAy's MuSic SucKs", "I wAs BoRn iN tHe WrOng GenErAtion", "tHe 80s wAs sUch a BetTer eRa", etc. While there is some logic behind the statement (Only so many chords and melodies and ideas exist, inflation and worse living standards), the past was not exactly a better place (discrimination, less technology, less knowledge, {more likely to die, and/or get fucked over in life because of the two previous disadvantages} etc.)

Centurys end

Song written and performed by donald fagen (1/2 of the jazz Rock band "steely dan".) The song is featured in the closing credits of the film , bright lights big city. A movie based on the novel of the same name. The movie was released in 1988 and features michael j fox among other luminaries.

Centurys end encapsulates the decadence and atavistic devil may care attitude that characterized the 1980s. As evidenced by these closing lyrics: "scratch the cab we'll get. Us a limo.
