Ambush Date

When you have been taken out with out realizing it is a date. After this unknown date you are told it was a date.

One day after crew I caught a bite to eat with a guy friend and had a nice long conversation. Needless to say later in the night I was caught off guard...

Andy: Did you enjoy our magical 2 hours and 3 minute date?
Jess: ::confused look at computer screen:: what date?

Gift Ambush

When both parties agree not to give gifts for an occasion, (usually Xmas) and then one of the parties gives one anyway (with or without warning/malice/regard)

I told my uncle Whatshisname to NOT give me a gift this year, but the fucker gift ambushed me. I chopped him in the neck, so we are even.
