Tumblr Friends

A group of friends through the website tumblr, with similar interests in either Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Boondocks Saints, or other cult movies, music, or celebrities. Known to troll, be forever alone, and accept all challenges, a tumblr friend rides a mighty unicorn into battle, with inside jokes and yelling FUCK YEA.

Also, someone who talks to you to make sure your OK, and looks at the worlds problems, because they are friends with people around the world.

Andy and Liz are tumblr friends, all they ever do is reblog pictures of unicorns from each other.

Pitty Friend

When you fell so sorry for someone (pitty them), usually an outcast, and you're friends with them, even if you don't like them. (You probably won't really like them anyway.)

A concept exactly described and labeled "erotic friendship" by Milan Kundera in his classic novel "The Unbearable Lightness of Being", which impressed the literate world back in 1984. That is basically what that book is about: "friend with benefits" vs. "traditional". - And who wins? Well, let's say: both fail, but "traditional" does it with more grace.

rebound friend

Sort of like a rebound gf or bf, but used only with friends. If one friend is pissed at you then you go see another (even though you might not want to) because you aren't gay enough to be seen without someone else, then he/she is your rebound friend

PissedGirl: I'm pissed at you, eff off!
Friend: *walks around for a while then decides to see another friend because she looks like a retard walking around alone*
ReboundFriend: Hi, what are you doing here
Friend: She's pissed at me so I came to see you
ReboundFriend: What, so I'm your rebound friend?
