Up South

As opposed to Deep South. States within the confines of the American South, that border closer to the Northern states, but have strong Southern qualities . Such states as Virginia, Kentucky, parts of Southern Maryland and West Virginia as well. Virginia is a prime example, as it was part of the Confederacy, and parts are heavy in Southern culture, yet borders on Maryland and Washington, DC.

They talk with such a strong southern drawl, yet they are only from Up South in Richmond, Virginia.

Glenbrook South

1. Mostly white. Filled with Mexicans. You'll be lucky to spot a black person.Too many Indians and Asians.

2. Better at football than Glenbrook North.

3. Located in Glenview, IL, northern suburb of Chicago filled with white people.

4. Won a grammy for choir.

Kid: Hey wanna play I Spy in my Glenbrook South yearbook for a black kid?

Kid 2: Sure, but how can a school win a grammy?

Kid: I have no idea.

A poker term used when a player at a cash table changes out their winnings and comes back with their original buy-in, ensuring the protection of their profits. Frowned upon and considered "dirty" as it takes away the chance for other players to win their money back.

"Hey, did you see that episode of High Stakes Poker? Everyone got on Freddy Deeb's case when they suspected him of going south in the middle of the show."

East Stroudsburg South

East stroudsburg South is the name for the high school in East Stroudsburg, PA located on North Courtland Street. It is currently undergoing a large renovation to update the building and make more room for growth based on the recent population influx and the need to remove all the asbestos from the building. The school boasts some very successful sports teams including football, girls basketball, soccer, track and rifle. Contrary to popular belief, the athletes at East Stroudsburg South don't take steroids. This was a rumor made up by some bitter North students who can't accept that they'll never beat South at football. East Stroudsburg South is a bitter rival with Stroudsburg and the two teams face off on Turkey Day every year for the Little Brown Jug. After East Stroudsburg North opened in 2000, they fancied themselves as a rival for South but seriously. They suck ass at everything. East Stroudsburg South's school colors are purple and white and their mascot is the Cavalier. The South campus is the far more superior campus as the North school is almost entirely populated by New Yorkers and wannabe white kids who insist that they're actually black.

I went to the Civil War game last night East Stroudsburg South vs. East Stroudsburg North. It was a slaughter again when South beat the shit out of North.
