Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. It affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. Symptoms of depression include feelings of sadness, tearfulness, emptiness or hopelessness, loss of interest or pleasure in most or all normal activities, sleep disturbances, including insomnia or sleeping too much, tiredness and lack of energy, so even small tasks take extra effort, reduced appetite and weight loss or increased cravings for food and weight gain, anxiety, agitation or restlessness, slowed thinking, speaking or body movements, feelings of worthlessness or guilt, fixating on past failures or self-blame, trouble thinking, concentrating, making decisions and remembering things, frequent or recurrent thoughts of death, suicidal thoughts, suicide attempts or suicide, and unexplained physical problems, such as back pain or headaches. Depression is treatable with medication, psychotherapy or both.

depression is like feeling trapped in sadness and feeling lonely even if you have friends surrounding you your still lonly you lose intrest in everything you just wanna sleep thats all you want to do because thats when your ok smiles are fake mot of the time and laughs are to if you find that one thing that you smile at and its a real smile and make you feel good try not to lose it but dont over do it for me i feel like im drowning in sadness if you know someone with depression go out of your way to be extra kind and ask if you can do anything for them remind them that your there for them
