When an author intentionally acts like their work is complete until the bottom of the last page, baiting interested readers and inflating their fic stats to further the illusion.
An author I really like just started fic baiting (v) all their recent works and now I don't think I can trust them anymore because nothing they've actually written is finished despite the tags.

Get the To Stog (v)mug. Despite being infamous for his chin he actually was a quite capable ruler. He somehow managed to rule the Holy Roman Empire, Spain, Burgundy, Austria and Naples all at the same time and rule them well. During his reign he fought a lot with France, the Ottomans and the protestants and was overall successful in fighting them and his reign saw large expansion of Spain and Austria. His greatest decision was splitting his realm between his son and brother. By the end of his reign Spain was prospering and the HRE was in a predicament but he couldn't control that and overall he was one of the greatest rulers of both Spain and the Holy Roman Empire.
