1. A song by Green Day which is influenced by Billie Joe Armstrong growing up without his father. His father died on 10 September 1982, and Billie Joe locked himself in the cupboard when he heard the news and said to his mum "Wake Me Up When September Ends". That is the origin of the title.
2. The only song that has ever made me cry.
2. The only song that has ever made me cry.
1.Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Like my fathers come to pass
Seven years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends
Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are
As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends
Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Ring out the bells again
Like we did when spring began
Wake me up when September ends
Here comes the rain again
Falling from the stars
Drenched in my pain again
Becoming who we are
As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends
Summer has come and passed
The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Like my father's come to pass
Twenty years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends
Wake me up when September ends

A song by Green Day about not wanting the summer to end and having to deal with going back to our normal lives, time going by too fast, etc. Things that are on your mind before school starts. Basically the only good song on Green Day's new CD because everyone can relate to it and you can actually understand what Billie Joe is saying which is hard to do on most Green Day songs.

The innocent can never last
Wake me up when September ends
Like my fathers come to pass
Seven years has gone so fast
Wake me up when September ends
Here comes the rain again

Becoming who we are
As my memory rests
But never forgets what I lost
Wake me up when September ends

I used the CRAAP test, to identify an article to check and see if it passes the test. The title of the article is,“What is the American Dream? Examples and how to measure it”(Barone). I chose this article because I think it breaks down a detailed review of what ‘The American Dream is.’ Along with this it provides background research, evidence from books, and different perspectives. First I looked at the paragraphs in the article. It has around thirty paragraphs that are all well organized. Bullet points are used to clearly explain certain sections. The article was updated on November 13, 2023. So I know that the information is fairly new, or at least has been reviewed and is suitable to be presented. The information is pretty detailed in the sense that it is concise and understandable. However it is a broad topic and there's room for interpretation. I think this is relevant to what I want to write about because it is a basic outline of how people interrupt ‘The American Dream' in all aspects of li
