A term for apologizing to one's enemies for acts committed in defense of one's culture and people. So named for the many apologies offered by United States President Barack Obama.

Despite his continual human rights abuses and verbal threats to the United States, the U.S. President offered an obalogy to the Venezuelan president for his countries past actions in defense of it's people and it's ideals.

To oblute, to obulate-
Obulous sounds like nebulous but with a non spaciatric meaning. Used to make a joke at nothing then to give an excuse to laugh, directing the laughter at someone rather than at the joke. - An indirect way to laugh at someone and say you were laughing at the joke.
