To arrive at a party, gig, or any social event after the police have raided or stopped it from continuing.

We arrived at the party with more beer but we were bacon late.

The band was supposed to play another song, but it's too bacon late.

If you have a dinner date at 6pm, a second meeting, at 8 is a "late date". Or as a verb -- "did you just late date me" meaning you have another date after the one with me.

A late friend is when one person who is alive considers someone who is dead as a friend, although when he/she was alive they didn't really talk to him/her. This is good as a late friend can always provide inspiration.

When Goran Ivanisevic won Wimbledon in 2001, he dedicated the win to his late friend Drazen Petrovic who died 8 years earlier.
