Someone/a group of people that feels the need to make everyone around them heterosexual. Someone who desires to make being straight the norm, therefore oppressing LGBTQ+ people. Such inhumane actions and opinions affect this community in several ways, including normal day to day tasks. A heteronormative society may also decline human rights to these.

John: It's so weird how when I tell people about my relationship with my boyfriend, they ask who's the girl and who's the guy in bed!
Sara: Yes, we live in such a heteronormative society.

Hayley: Me and Jane visited our wedding planner today and we had to leave because every option they had was for straight couples!
