Freshie

UK slang meaning someone who is a new immigrant to the country, and still hasn't adapted to the cultural norms nor the language.

It can also be used as an adjective in the form of "fresh".
"They didn't even queue for the bus. They just all rushed in and had a free-for-all."
"Hmm, was they freshies?"

"The bossman at the corner shop is safe

"He's a bit fresh still, he didn't hold the door open for the person behind him and they had a go at him. He's a good guy, he just didn't know that was a thing here."

A clean and unused hypodermic needle, used for shooting recreational drugs. Another way of saying "new rig" "new works" etc. Important to have or acquire in order to not transmit disease.

ex-freshie

Someone who has been living in an English speaking country (e.g. UK or USA) for a long time (e.g. 15 or 20 years) but still has poor English skills in terms of speaking and writing. Ex-freshies also have a fresh mentality making them very irritable to work or cope with. Typically this person has moved from a eastern country to a western country. (e.g. India to USA, Pakistan to UK)
Ex-freshie Man: I want all my children to get A's for their GSCE's so they can go off to Oxford and they can become lawyers or doctors.

Ex-freshie Woman: Apart from that I want my daughters to learn how to cook and clean and also gain some weight in order to be perfect wives and make babies.
