Get the Capitalism mug.An often maligned system that was endorsed by Philosophes of the Enlightenment and again by the Social Gospel of the Industrialist Period during the late 19th century. A system that rewards those who work hard and use their talents to the fullest extent, now has been confused and distorted into a systematic operation of oppression and greed, called "corporatism". Can actually be mixed with socialism to create a utopian society if managed properly, a system we almost achieved under Clinton but was trashed by Dubya.
Capitalism is actually a system built for a democratic society by the definition of Enlightened Philosophers, but Corporatism has distorted the meaning of capitalism horribly.
