Mutency

Mutency is what occurs when one is dialed in to a conference call and hangs out on mute. When the individual is asked a question and there is silence for a few seconds before he or she answers, this latency is known as mutency

Person 1: Hey Bill, when is that deal coming to closure

Person 1: Bill? Bill? You there? ... Maybe he dropped out.

Person on Mute: .............................. Should be next month, sorry for the late response, I was on mute.

Person 1: Ahhh, mutency.

mutetard

A word used for a person who continually mutes people on the instant messaging website 'meebo'. They will often single one person out and then attempt to warn them as many times as possible. With every 4 warns they are muted for 5minutes and unable to type anything in any meebo chat room until this period of time is over.
