When you develop a depression so deep within you due to being employed at Dan’s that don’t realize you’re depressed until other people point it out. You begin to lash out at self checkout customers for not knowing the store code for bagels and begin sabotaging grocery carts in response. A severe mental disorder, those afflicted should not be approached unless a natural disaster occurs, in which they will begin praying for an apocalypse.
I’ve worked at Dan’s for far too long, I believe I have been infected with Dan’s Depression. Just last week I lashed out at a customer for telling me to have a good day.

When you suffer from MDD (depression), some days are better than others. You may feel fine one day, but the next day you'll feel like you want to die.
The following is a "scale" of how a depressed person's days can go. To make this less confusing, the person will be referred to as "Bob."

The Depression Scale
LEVEL ZERO: Good days
Bob exhibits absolutely no symptoms of depression, and may even appear quite happy.
LEVEL ONE: Standard days
Bob will appear fine on the outside, but on the inside he feels gloomy and disinterested. Don't expect him to tell you about it, though.
LEVEL TWO: Bad days
Things haven't been going well for Bob. Unlike level one where he just feels down, level two depression is where he actually has a reason to feel the way they does. He will most likely want to be alone, and will deflect all forms of conversation.
LEVEL THREE: Mental Breakdown
Bob has had an absolutely awful day and cannot suppress how he feels any longer. He'll tell just about anyone who's willing to lend an ear, and will probably start sobbing halfway through.
LEVEL FOUR: Self-harm
Bob feels so numb inside, he has resorted to physically hurting himself in order to feel something, anything. He doesn't care how dangerous it is for his health; he stopped caring about himself a long time ago.
LEVEL FIVE: Ending it all
Bob is done. He's been pushed around and bullied enough by the universe, and has decided that the only option left is to take his own life.

Depression is the state of the mind where you think your alone, numb to the world where you lost all interest in your own happiness. Most people with depression hide it with smiles and laughter.
person:1- Hey
person:2- Oh...hey
person:1- Are you ok? You seem off
person:2- I'm just depressed
person:1- Oh, well hope you get over it bad times do pass
person:2- *walks away*
Depression is not just a state of sadness but also a state of being alone.

REMINDER : If you joke about someone having depression, you don't need to laugh at them for being sad.
Depression is a more tough sadness, but you can't compare it to your sadness when you get a F- on your math test.
Depression is commonly caused because of loneliness. Some of them because your girlfriend/boyfriend left you or broke up with you.
You can also feel anxiety during your depression. This is an example:
