It is used as a promise that even if you’re parting now, a piece of them still lingers in the air.

It’s not about literally smelling someone (though scent is memory) it’s about leaving behind a trace—a moment, a memory, a feeling.

A way to say, “I’ll miss you, but I’ll catch you in the wind of tomorrow.”

Used when:
