There are a variety of sounds such as the large sound around the tongue pthhhhb, but the short and sweet sound is made by shrinking the opening to a tiny hole on the top of the middle of the tongue.

There were two people passing in the hallway when one made a "pthb" sound just as their paths were about to converge. The second person hurried pressed their lips around their tongue and made a corresponding sound just quiet enough to hide amongst the general chatter of the school hallway.
