Reading Between the Texts

Akin to the phrase “Reading between the lines” reading between the texts is a phrase used to describe the confusion of tone and implication in texting, especially with the member of preferred sex.

She texted me “Hey” but with 2 y’s. Maybe she thinks I’m cute, but I could be reading between the texts.

When a person has much to say during a texting conversation. Usually resulting in multiple, poly-page texts.

Sarah was really textative last night, she even came up with this term. She had a lot on her mind.

Break-texting

When a message could be texted within a sentence or sentences and then send it out as one text entry, the message is broken down into a single word, words, or phrases. Because One message is broken down into a few text entries, the recipient receives 5-6 messages instead of 1.

"Omg Maggie freaking loves break-texting so every time she texts me, I got 10 messages instead of 1"
