A form of grey-hat hacking where hackers hunt down and bust petty script kiddies and amateur black-hat hackers. Often implies contractor work or the use of honeypot traps to bring malicious hackers to justice.

When people would reset the server on certain casual maps that have been running a long time people often referred to this as cap hacking. As it would reset the ban list of the server after the round had ended and allow all bots/cheaters who have been vote kicked / banned during the duration of the server to join again.
