Used ironically by a straight girl to describe a hot guy. It comes from the signal that some gay men use to indicate they are cruising and interested at a male sauna. If they have good control, they raise their towel without their hands.

*Girl sees a hot guy and turns to her female friend*
"Woah, he's a real towel lifter!"

a physical, non technological, personal form of correspondence, excluding e-mail, fax, Skype, youtube, or phone

mother (before daughter goes off to University) : please write me classical letters, I am somewhat technologically challenged, and can't remember the password to access my email.

daughter: I can always write you a few classical letters, but they take time to come home. You are lucky I happen to know what they are. No one in my class but me knows what classical letters are anymore; we live in such a tech dominated world.

Line Lifter

You are known as a line lifter if you use another o er sons signature line. For example I will be back in jiffy and you use the very same line as if you were the one who started saying it in the first place. Line Lifter.

She is known as of the Muppets Most Wanted. Muppets Most Wanted is her original line, and now the whole complex says it. The complex are now Line Lifers. You area line lifter cause grandma used to say that.

Passive Listener

When someone should be listening to what you are saying but they are mentally too busy thinking of what they want to say or are interrupting you to get their point across or jump ahead of you telling the story because they can't wait for you to finish. This causes them to ask a question about the thing you are talking about before you are able to get it out or ask about something you said but they missed because they aren't really listening. As opposed to an active listener who is genuinely interested in hearing what you are trying to tell them regarding an incident or a story or information.

You: So I told her don't be all up in my business because. ..
Them: So she left or stayed or what?

You: I'm trying to tell you what happened. Don't be such a passive listener.
