This word was utilized to turn the tables on oppressors (White people) who considered individuals black people the n word. Regardless of whether different races should state it or not, is controversial since it wasn't utilized to debase them. Be that as it may, a great many people steer far from that word and use it when white individuals consider others a slur.

A derogatory term historically used to refer to poor white people in the Southern United States. The term is believed to originate from the sound of whips cracking, associated with white slave owners and overseers who used whips to control enslaved people and drive cattle. Over time, "cracker" has evolved into a broader term that can imply a lack of sophistication or education among white people.
"In the antebellum South, slave owners and overseers were often called 'crackers' because of the sound of their whips cracking as they enforced control over enslaved people."
