A group of friends that stick together for a long time. And Go through hoops and go through he street-cred system. Usually consists of 4 people at a time. One person is the leader of the group.

Squad-block

Past tense: squad-blocked
definition: when an innocent guy (or girl) asks a specific person out as their date or in hopes of them becoming their significant other. The person agrees to the date but will only go if his or her "squad" tags along as well. The innocent guy/girl thus does not get any quality time with the person because their squad is first priority.

"Yo my friend just asked out this girl, but then the squad took her to Starbucks.

Damn son, talk about squad blocked!"

Guy: Ayy, you are going with her to prom right? She's your date?

Friend: Nah, he's going to prom with the squad. She totally squad-blocked him.
