Not all guests are welcome in his home, and if you're not originally from there, you are a guest.

You don't go to somebody else's home and start telling them what's what, or that there is a new way of doing things there now.

It didn't really matter whether the guests did or didn't respect the host's home, it was still always going to be home for him/her/them. Which is why not all guests were welcome there.

stay at home order

In Australia and likely in many other parts of the world, a "stay at home order" is the equivalent to a lockdown order, necessary to restrict the movement of people who could otherwise spread the contagious virus variants of concern, such as the Deltra variant of the Covid Virus. Where 'stay at home' is sensible advice, a 'stay at home order' is implemented by the Government with various conditions on leaving the home (e.g. a permissible radius, basic necessities such as groceries and medicines, caring for someone, outdoor exercise within a certain radius, etc).

"The Premier of NSW (Gladys) issued a temporary "stay at home order" (otherwise known as a 'lockdown') as exposure sites to the Delta variant of covid seriously threatened the track record of protection/prevention measures in Australia."

Home-basing

Instead of calling it being lazy… we shall call it home-basing.

Because that is a verb, people.

And your family appreciates you just taking up space sometimes.

I am going to indulge in some lazy home-basing this Sunday. The kids will be stopping in and out for snacks and the neighbors might pop in for quick visits. Maybe I’ll catch up laundry and make cookies… I don’t know.
