A logical framework that treats truth as fixed, final, and unrevisable—once a truth is established, it is true forever, and any challenge to it is necessarily false. Closed truth systems are characteristic of dogma, ideology, and fundamentalism: they claim to have arrived at final answers, and they treat all further inquiry as either unnecessary or threatening. In a closed truth system, learning stops; the only allowed movement is deeper into established truth, not revision of it. Closed truth systems provide certainty, stability, and identity—at the cost of growth, adaptation, and intellectual honesty. They're comfortable prisons for the mind.

A variation of truth bias where one assumes that their truth is not just true but objectively true—true independent of any perspective, any context, any observer. Objective Truth Bias is the belief that one has access to the view from nowhere, the God's-eye perspective, the way things really are. It's the bias of those who think they're not biased, who think their judgments are pure reflections of reality. Objective Truth Bias is the favorite bias of scientists who forget they're human, of philosophers who think they've escaped history, of everyone who has ever said "just the facts" as if facts weren't interpreted.

Objective Truth Bias

Objective Truth Bias operates when someone says "I'm not biased, I just see things as they really are" while everyone else is blinded by ideology, culture, or self-interest.
