Get the Homiesexualmug. When straight males who are very good friends say vaguely homosexual things to each other, not to express physical attraction or any romantic love towards each other, but as a means by which to show a simple appreciation in an ironic fashion.
Oddly enough, it is seen as “gayer” for a straight male to be forward about unironic non-sexual love for their friends than it is to say something disingenuously homosexual to get the same point across without actually saying it.

Both friends know the comment is not genuine, but they appreciate it for what it is, which is deeply ironic and has a lot of variability. It’s not actually gay nor is it meant to be taken that way. It’s a genuine unrelated appreciation wrapped in disingenuous joke comment.
