Its a pet name that is often used ironically. Its just a term of endearment like 'pookie' and 'munchkin' and is used the same way. Its just to tell someone that they're silly and cute.

Mozzarella catturata dalla dolcezza dello scampo

Popular recurring meme in the italian MasterChef community, born after a dish with Mozzarella on it was named this way.
Surprisingly, the dish wasn't well received by the judges who expelled the amateur chef from the kitchen.

Cross between scrump and crumpet, i.e.- Sex Biscuit. Commonly used in the South by people who live on mountains and have a deep southern drawl, or widely used anywhere you can find both sex and biscuits.

Scampi Fries

Cheifly British: the fishy odour associated with unwashed genitalia, usually female, although the male member is arguably a closer match to the whiff of a popular packet snack sold in the UK.

Marketers became aware of this lewd association amongst teenagers and produced a viral video depicting a young man inviting his friends to sniff his fingers as 'proof' that he had been intimate with a girl at a party (although the viewer sees that he has simply been tucking into a packet of Scampi Fries). Mmmm, fish.

I reckon licking the fat one out'd be like snogging a sasquatch with a penchant for Scampi Fries.

Scampi is the plural of scampo, the Italian name for the Norway lobster Nephrops norvegicus, also known by the names "Dublin Bay Prawn" and "Langoustine". The fleshy tail of the Norway lobster is good eating, closer in both taste and texture to lobster and crayfish than prawn or shrimp. In the United Kingdom, the term scampi is used to describe a dish of shelled tail meat, coated in breadcrumbs or batter, deep fried and served with chips. In the Southern Hemisphere, other species of lobster are used instead, such as the New Zealand lobster.

In the USA, the term scampi is used as the name for a dish of shrimp served in Garlic butter.

Oye that scampi is wicked even though FaeLLe never tasted it.
