A non-gender-specific version of the pronouns "he" and "she".

Useful when you do not know the gender of the individual being referred to.

Useful if you do not want to disclose the gender of the individual being referred to.

Useful if you do not want to offend the individual being referred to. (some people do not like to be called "he" or "she")

Can be used to replace "he/she" on documents.

A slang term used in areas of Ireland and certain parts of Britain such as Scotland and Wales. Used as a casual, collective noun to adress a group of people.
Other words with the same meaning include: y'all, yis, you's, and you guys.
Not to be confused with the term 'ye', a slang term for yes or definitely.

The word 'yere' is the possessive pronoun of ye.
