Common misspelling of Rubik's Cube, a cube-shaped puzzle toy invented by Erno Rubik. Any side of the cube can rotate any direction, and the goal is to get each of the six sides a solid color.
Sara: didn't you buy a Rubix Cube the other day?
Jack: it's actually a Rubik's Cube.
Sara: whatever
Jack: yeah, i couldn't figure it out so i set it on fire.
Sara: zomg i did the same thing

(verb) To not select all cells when sorting a spreadsheet (Excel) and the data is no longer linked correctly. Only made worse by prematurely saving and can not be undone.
Generally ends up an unsolvable mess and requires starting over. Also generally happens to large spreadsheets under tight deadline.

Wrong spelling of a toy cube made up of 27 smaller cubelets to make up a 3x3x3 cube. Usually solved by taking it apart with a butter knife and frustratingly putting it back together, peeling the stickers off and replacing them on their correct positions, getting an Asian friend to solve it or looking up online the "algorithms" needed to solve it which I think is bull crap.
Asian friend: "Turn LRL'R'UDUDLRUR and you'll solve the Rubix cube.
Me: You won't make any girlfriends. I guarantee you.

Party in which every attendee must dress in six different items of clothing, which are each the colour of one of the sides of a rubix cube. Each colour may only be used once.
Party goers must then swap items of clothing until they are dressed in a single colour.
