The girl or guy who is the best looking in a small sample of people, such as at a bar or at work, even though they would not be considered a 10 outside of that situation.

Every time I go to a bar I seek out the relative ten and hit on her.

The Theory of Relative Hottness

The theory that states that one judges a guy/girl's hottness by comparing him/her to those around them. This explains why one would think someone is hotter when seen at, say a movie theater, than at school. There are fewer to compare them to.

Guy 1: Dude, that girl that goes to your school is really hot.
Guy 2: Naw, that's the theory of relative hottness. At school she's not that hot.

IT'S ALL / EVERYTHING'S RELATIVE

means that the world is in the eye of the beholder; it all depends on how you look at things; all people look at things from a different perspective and have differing opinions or views about someone, something, etc.
Everything is quantifiable in terms of individual perception.

To him, the new house is beautiful and grandiose in appearance; to me, it's ugly and pretentious. It's all relative, then, isn't it?
You think you're poor? Then take a look at the skid row bums living in the sewers downtown. Everything is relative.

T.A.R.D.I.S. It refers to the Gallifreyan time and space travel capsule which is dimensionally transcendental (bigger on the inside). The most common example is the one used by the Gallifreyan Time Lord known as "The Doctor", that is permanently disguised as a 1960s police telephone box.

Mostly happens around Thanksgiving or Christmas time when you see your family relatives you haven't seen in a year and it's completely awkward and you have nothing to talk about.
