Being inebriated beyond the point of being able to eat. Word originated from people being so drunk they wanted to eat a honey butter chicken biscuit sandwich from Whataburger, but halfway through their meal, they passed out face first into their plate.

"you ever just been totally plated?"

"pshhh, you boob. you don't know what plated means?"
"naw dawg. tell me!"
"it's when you're so drunk, half way through eating your food you pass out on your plate."

To put false or incorrect number plates on a car or other (usually stolen or uninsured) vehicle to hide the true identity.

Just went to look at a car for sale, well dodgy though. I reckon it's plated up.
