On May 29, 2015, Young Pappy was shot to death at the 4800 block of North Kenmore Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. Friday.

While professional gamblers are at a blackjack table counting cards, the "ploppies" are the players at the table who the casino loves because they play the game at an average level (or below) and just don't know any better. Sometimes ploppies can get in the way of the professional players.
