A person whose hair is cut so short it goes "ping" when a hand is run through it.

It's the name given to new Military recruits in Basic Training after their first haircut.

It is a derogatory term that indicates the relative ignorance of the newbies and can be measured by the shortness of the hair.

someone who finds an excuse for a midweek pint, or anyone who enjoys being drunk at inappropriate moments. They will condemn people who fail to finish a drink when called upon, particularly when a coin has been dropped into it.
