To add things to food that the recipe did not call for and probably for good reason. Often results in odd tasting food but very rarely creates the greatest thing ever.

"Why is this whipped topping salty and kinda chicken flavored?" "Oh that, I thought a savory whipped topping would work with the hot pretzels." "Yeah, you really Jake'd that up." OR "Are these chocolate chips in the banana bread?" "Yup" "Way to Jake that up. It's strangely good."
