Idiotkin

A species of otherkin consisting of individuals who possess perfectly functional cognitive abilities, but who nonethless identify with mentally impaired people (i.e. “idiots”) whom they feel a strong kinship with, hence their title of “Idiotkin”. Idiotkin typically attempt to adopt the speech patterns, mannerisms, and cognitive impairments of natural idiots to assimilate into idiot subculture as fully as possible.

“Todd has a PhD in Astrophysics, but he hasn’t been able to beat me at tic tac toe in a month. In fact, he doesn’t seem to understand how to even play anymore! What the fuck is up with him?!”

“Oh that ... yeah, he’s decided he’s Idiotkin. It’s this new trend where you try to become an idiot. Just stick a pacifier in his mouth and leave him in a corner. He’ll be fine”.
