Badass single wheel electric unicycle. Rider stands (no loser seat) on pedals on each side of the wheel and moves by leaning forward and back kinda like a segway, but not stupid looking like they are. Massively eco-friendly which is kinda cool.

I could be there in 20 on the glidewheel, but need to charge her up first.

Glimmer Man

A glimmer man (sometimes rendered as "glimmerman") was a name unofficially, but universally, applied to inspectors who were employed by coal gas manufacturers in Ireland to detect the use of gas in breach of rationing restrictioons during the Emergency (ie. WW2) from March 1942 and in some places as late as 1947.

The term is now used as a metaphor for bureaucratic intrusion into privacy.

Gimli glider

1. Refers to Air Canada Boeing 767 C-GAUN (c/n 22520), which on July 23, 1983 ran out of fuel over Northern Ontario, and glided to a landing at an abandoned airfield in Gimli, Manitoba. At the time, this was the first ever dead-stick landing of a jet airliner. The aircraft was subsequently recovered from Gimli and flew for Air Canada for another 25 years before being finally retired in January 2008.

2. Subsequently, the term 'Gimli glider' has become Canadian slang for a particularly glaring screw-up.
