this "word" is used in a way to mean "incredibly high" or "expensive"

WARNING: this is NOT a real word, yet is somehow used every day, especially by large media outlets. example: "exhorbent fuel prices"

This word must be destroyed, or accepted into the English language. it CANNOT exist in daily news and conversations, yet not exist in any dictionary.
It does not appear in any dictionary that exists, including online dictionaries.
