'i would call it egoseismic thinking'
by jadif June 12, 2012

The belief that one's personal location directly affects the epicenter of earthquakes. A pun of "egocentric".
Friend1: Since we moved to California, there hasn't been an earthquake, but back in North Carolina, where we're from, there WAS one!
Friend2: Maybe it's US! Like, where we live can't get hit!
Friend1: That's not how it works. Quit being egoseismic.

the thinking of you causing natural disasters such as: earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc.
You cause natural disasters
You cause natural disasters
"Yo man, i feel egoseismic cuz' there was an earthquake and I predicted it. And when I moved to California, we directed the natural disasters to North Carolina."

The ability of one to redirect the U.S. seismic epicenter to his current geographical location. Antonym- "antiegoseismic." As defined by Rhett & Link on "Good Mythical Morning" Monday, March 5, 2012.

The inflated thinking that one's own presence, mojo, swagg, etc. is enough to cause the earth to quake.

Similar to egocentric, or believing that oneself has influenced the course of a storm or waves for example, egoseismic is believing that one has influenced seismic activity.
On the YouTube show Good Mythical Morning hosted by Rhett and Link, Link jokes that their move from North Carolina to California has caused earthquakes to stop occurring in California and start happening in North Carolina. Rhett then tells him that is called being egocentric, at which point Link corrects him saying that it would be called egoseismic.
