Get the yuritastic mug.People in fandoms who, regardless of gender or sexuality, are obsessed with Yuri (lesbian) pairings to the point that they make it their entire personality. They exhibit toxic and hypocritical behaviors, discussing stories only when they fit their narrative and ignoring them when they don’t. They overanalyze details while disregarding obvious ones to support their perspective.
They insist every female character they like is a lesbian and accuse those who disagree of homophobia or lesbophobia, despite often being biphobic themselves. They downplay canonically bisexual or straight characters and demonize male/female ships while excusing problematic dynamics in their preferred pairings. Many harass creators, attack artists, and send death threats to dissenters.
They often fetishize lesbian relationships while denying it, treating Yuri ships as fantasy objects rather than genuine relationships. They also conflate personal shipping preferences with real-world LGBTQ+ issues, making meaningful discussions on representation difficult.
Some even accuse creators of being homophobic or sexist for not making their ships canon, as seen when My Hero Academia fans attacked the author for pairing Ochako with Deku. Many also excuse villainous actions—such as Himiko Toga’s crimes—simply because she likes women.
Not all "yuritards" are women or lesbians, though there is some overlap.

Example 1:
Yuritard: "See the 3 gems below Robin's eyes? Those are in the colors of lesbian flag. That means she's a lesbian!"
Normal fan: "But are those also the colors of Xipe, the Aeon of Harmony who Robin literally represents in the story"
Yuritard: "Fuck you lesbophobe! Kys!"
Example 2:
Yuritard: "Mikasa, Annie and Historia are such lesbian queens"
Normal fan: "But doesn't Mikasa likes Eren and also married a guy after he died? Doesn't Annie like Armin? And didn't Historia married a farmer dude and got pregnant?"
Yuritard: "You're a lesbophobei! Kys!"
