Widow's Kiss

After a woman's husband/wife, common-law spouse, or boyfriend/girlfriend passes away, the woman's kiss becomes a 'Widow's Kiss.'

She has a unique awareness that any time she kisses, it could be the last time she ever kisses again. Therefore each kiss is held with fierce passion and lust like it's the last one she will ever have.

Spouse of an EverQuest player. If EQ player found dead, widow can often only identify them in profile, seated, hands on keyboard. Described as widowhood, as partner is largely ignored, except when asked how to spell a word in a thread post(or when widow is asked to order pizza).

"Your husband/wife plays EverQuest?"
"Yes, that's why he didn't come on vacation with me."

"Yeah, I'm an EverQuest widow."

Hunter's Widow

the spouse or significant other of a hunter, whom, during hunting season, is typically left alone, "widowed" by their hunter spouse's prolonged absences; includes sleeping alone in the marriage bed, minimal sex life, extra essential babysitting responsibilities (for those with children), refrigerator depleted of beer supplies, bank account depleted of financial supplies, and the itty bitty possibility of said hunter spouse bringing home some fresh meat.

Girls' night out while my husband is in the woods; I'm a hunter's widow this weekend.

winter widow

A term spoken by wives of snow plowers, linemen, and other winter weather workers who choose to trivialize what it actually means to be a widow and a single parent. They define themselves this way looking for sympathy that they have to be alone/parent alone for long stretches in the winter months even though they get a trade off, in the form of a partner financially providing and also returning home. Can most likely be found in a warm home drinking wine out of personalized glasses and wearing lularoe leggings.

"I haven't seen hubby since last night and I've been alone with the kids ALL day. Time to drink wine and use the term winter widow in a hashtag on all of my posts today"

A state of complete physical and emotional abandonment caused by the husband's preference to hunt animals in the wild for days on end instead of spending quality time with his wife at home.

Wife 1: So, your hubby's away on yet another hunting trip, is he?

Wife 2: (Angrily) Don't remind me. I swear, if I wasn't already a hunting widow, I would kill him myself!
