When you are absolutely ready to soak something up; to be fully ready for the experience to come. Derived from Spongebob Squarepants’ famous saying “I’m ready, I’m ready.” Can be used in all contexts, including: sexual experiences, first dates, watching favorite movies, going out with friends, etc.

Nicole: Did you hear Ariana Grande is going to be on the Voice?
John: As a judge?
Nicole: Yes! I’m so spongey for the show to come back again. It was getting hella dry.
