Scanner Chasing

(verb): The act of a listening to police, fire, or other emergency personnel radio traffic and responding to the scene to see the action unfold live. While this technique is used by many news crews to get the inside story first, it is also considered a hobby by some scanner enthusiasts.

While scanner chasing today, I heard the police being dispatched to a vehicle rollover. I responded to the scene of the incident and took pictures!

Scanner Pubes

Specks of dust that show up on a image that was scanned into a computer. Commonly occurs when a dusty flatbed scanner is used to scan film or photographs. Also commonly referred to as just "Pubes".

Can air that flatbed mang, you don't want all those scanner pubes in your in your pics.

Someone that continuously feels the need to scan items in the store to see if there is a better online price. Someone that has to scan every QR code they come across because there is more information available online.

How many scannerds does it take to screw in a light bulb. One to compare prices, one to scan instruction manual. One to literally screw the light bulb.
