Shoreditch Samurai

A longer than average 'manbun' that results in a pony tale like flop. This haircut, worn in combination with a beard, results in a style similar to Chonmage (丁髷, ちょんまげ) and closely resembles that of the hairstyle worn by ancient Japanese Samurai.

This image has become popular amongst young adult men and is synonymous with the concept of contemporary 'hipsterification' taking place in predominantly regenerated urban areas (particularly in London).

Matt: "Hey Sam, isn't Jay's manbun cool."
Sam: "Yeah, bloody Shoreditch Samurai!"

When a weeb who's never been anywhere near Japan feels like they have to protect every facet of Japanese culture even though they don't actually know anything about Japanese culture beyond what they see in anime.

Samurai Champloo

Mugen is a fierce animal-like warrior with a unique Bboying (break-dance) inspired fighting style. Jin has a more traditional style but don’t think of this as a weakness because his skills are amazing. The two contrasting samurai warriors are far from friends, yet their separate paths seem to cross anyways. Mugen is wandering aimlessly through the city when he stumbles upon a teahouse where he meets Jin and Fuu (A ditzy waitress, but don‘t think she doesn‘t have anything hidden up her sleeves). Fuu convinces them both to come with her in search of a mysterious samurai that smells like sunflowers and their journey begins. This modernized hip-hop tale breaks the barriers of the common, historical, samurai anime.

Samurai Champloo is an anime series consisting of 26 episodes. It was broadcast in Japan from May 20, 2004, through March 19, 2005, on the television network, Fuji TV. It also aired on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim from 2005–2008. Samurai Champloo was created and directed by Shinichiro Watanabe, whose previous work, Cowboy Bebop, made him renowned in the anime and Japanese television communities. The show was produced by studio Manglobe.

A game played with a group of friends in which the challenge is to be the last one left at a place you wouldn't want to be, such as the site of a recent crime.

When played correctly, the game invites certain doom and dire consequences, much like a samurai charge on horseback up a hill into a line of riflemen and automatic Gatling guns.

"Dude, shouldn't we get going? The cops are nearly here!"
"No man, let's just stay here and play last samurai."

"Lol Chris won that game of last samurai after we took turns pissing in the club. He didn't run til he saw security coming!"
