Ough

A word that expresses emotion in many different ways and forms.

It is pronounced as oh, but adding the ug in between the o and h creates a more meaningful passion when expressing it.

Has made it's way into many people's vocabularies.

The word can be used to replace long vowel o sounds in a word, adding more emphasis to make the long vowel o sound more rewarding, interesting and less boring to use.

It can be used in expressing anger, for example "ough, stop that please, ough!"

It can be used when having sexual intercourse, for example "OUGH OUGH OUGH OUGH OUGH OUUUUUGGHHHHH"

It replaces long vowel o sounds when using in a sentence, for example "ough, it snoughed!"

It can be used in expressing joy and happiness, by just simply yelling at the top of your lungs when in the middle of a grocery store or blockbuster "OUGH!"

It can be used in expressing frustration, for example "where the fuck is the remoughte!"

Oughf

Used to describe an event that: you don't want to talk about (mainly due to no recollection), something awesomely bad happened, or you just have no other words to describe it.

Cheech - "Hey! Remember that party last weekend? It was crazy!"
CinderBlock - "...oughf"

Trying to remember the night before-
El Capitán - "...oughf"

Johnny - "I can't believe you left it on!"
Benny - "OUGHF!"
Dixon - "And you texted me while doing it!"
Benny - "OUGHF!"

oughties

The current decade, between the years 2000 and 2010. In English, (most often British English), "ought" can mean "zero", thus the "oughties". This is used in lieu of zero, because "zeroties" sounds awkward. Unlike with the "eighties", the "nineties" and so on, there is no one name for the current decade enjoying wide usage.

"I can't recall the exact year, but George Harrison died some time in the early oughties."

The common pronouncement and name for the current decade, the '00s. The 'Oughties' was created out of the word "ought" which is an old-fashioned or British way of saying "zero".

"Forget the '80s and '90s, this is the decade and time for everything that Ought to be..these are the naughty OUGHTIES!"
