The phrase originated on the Opie and Anthony show in an instance of conflict between the then Executive Producer Steve Carlesi and Producer Danny Ross. Also known as the D Ross suspension.

Used with the individuals first name. Any guy who's completely clueless and irrelevant at work. Named McGillicutty because this name was used often to describe an off camera ding-dong coworker on mid 20th century television. Not to be confused with a Boomer who actually comes from the mid 20th century.
