An abbreviation for lord of the rings soundtrack.
The J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings OST is the soundtrack to Ralph Bakshi's animated film adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, featuring music composed by Leonard Rosenman. It was issued ...as a double-LP in 1978. In 2001, the album was reissued on CD, with bonus tracks.

Sounds like a boy band, but they are The Lord of the Rings fellowship cast members who became very close friends within the 3-year shoot in New Zealand. Term is used a lot by fangirls.
They are Elijah Wood, Ian McKellen, Viggo Mortensen, Sean Astin, John Rhys-Davies, Billy Boyd, Dominic Monaghan, Orlando Bloom and Sean Bean. They are called LotR boys as they are seen together when they're out of the character or in LotR character costumes when they're not shooting the movie footage.
They all took a small elvish "9" tattoo for the sign of their friendship.
