Tone Indicator

Tone indicators are used at the end of sentences to show the writers true intent. They are very helpful to neurodivergent people.

Some tone indicators are

/srs = Serious
/j = Joking
/hj = Half joking
/s = sarcastic

/r = Romantic
/p = Platonic
/g or gen = genuine

You're so stupid I hate you /j
I love you /p
You're so cool /s
With out tone indicators, these could have very different meanings /srs

Lebanese Youth Indicator (LYI)

LYI is the Lebanese Youth Indicator. It aims at measuring how healthy the socio-economic situation in Lebanon is based on the access of the competent and independent Lebanese youth to decision making roles. It also considers other factors revolving around the role of the Lebanese youth in reviving the struggling Lebanese economy, reversing the corrupt political scene, and the aching society. The indicator looks into both the resident Lebanese youth and the Diaspora across the world.

The indicator was formulated by Jihad El Hokayem as part of his endeavor Rethinking Lebanon on the back of the crisis in Lebanon that surged in Q1 2020.

Q: How one knows whether the economy of Lebanon recovered?
A: The Lebanese economy recovers when the Lebanese Youth Indicator (LYI) reflects an active and leading role of the Lebanese Youth in the country.

Indica is not slang for marijuana, but one of the three species of marijuana; Sativa, Indica, and Reduralis. Sativa is more of a skinny, tall, lanky, and less yielding plant that produces a mind high. Whereas Indica is more of a small, broad, and usually a higher yielding plant that gives you a couchlock body high. Rederalis isn't grown due to its small amount of THC but is sometimes crossed with other species to shorten flowering time.

Tone Indicator

Slashes followed by any combination of letters that end a sentence, paragraph, or overall message.

The purpose is to let the reader know what the implied tone of the previous text is.

Common tone indicators include: /j (joking) , /s (sarcasm) , and /srs (serious). There are multiple lists online that include various tone indicators and their meanings.

A: Hey, would you mind using tone indicators when we text?

B: Anything for you, dummy. /J
