Hope+ opening as in when you open the refrigerator and hope there is something good at a quick glance.

I was hopening for some free food in my work fridge.
Or coming home drunk I was hopening for some fridge snacks

Fork Hovering

You know when you pick up more food with your fork/spoon but your still eating the food in your mouth so your fork just sort of hovers in front of your mouth until your done.

I couldnt swallow that piece of chicken so I was fork hovering for a while.

Hovering Alfred

The posture that one takes while attempting to use a public toilet (Gas Station, Grocery Store, Resturaunt, ect...)while trying to avoid making contact with the seat. On occasion with lower pulic toilets, one must also brace them self with one hand against the wall to avoid falling in. Also known as a "Floating Susan" when executed by a female.

They were out of ass gaskets in the stall, So Stan had to attempt a risky "hovering alfred", before he shat himself.

When someone is eaves dropping, listening in , being nosy.

When you are eating and someone is looking at your food very hard and making you feel uncomfortable.

i was talking to by girl and her mom was HOVERING....(you can even make a helicoppter sound so your frieinds know what your talking about)
